I believe in bringing both my classical and improvisatory experience to inform my teaching. I impart a good grounding in the fundamentals of sound production and music reading, and I am happy to pursue any stylistic goals the student may have.
I Graduated from the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in 1986 and have performed extensively with a variety of groups such as Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, World Music group Mara! and the Australian Art Orchestra.
Since 1984 I have been teaching in schools, colleges and privately. I have taught at primary, secondary and tertiary levels as well as various school band camps at the following institutions: Fahan Girl's College, Hobart College, Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, Maroubra High School, Epping West Primary School, Trinity Catholic College, Epping High School, etc.
